Medicinal plants processing research center (MPPRC) affiliated to shiraz university of medical sciences establish in August 2012 in Meymand located at Fars province south of Iran. MPPRC has been published many articles related to medicinal plants and natural products. Quality control of herabal hydrosol, standardization of drugs based on natural products and isolation and evaluation of bioactive compound from medicinal plants are impotrant activites of MPPRC.

The Medicinal Plants Processing Research Center, which is affiliated to Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, began its work in Meymand, Fars in 2009. One of the first steps was to set up chemical and microbial control division for extracts and hydrosols and also install a gas chromatograph attached with a mass detector. After publishing many scientific papers, the center received a final approval from the Council for the Development of Research Centers of the Ministry of Health on Nov, 2019.
مرکزتحقیقات فراوری گیاهان دارویی وابسته به دانشگاه علوم پزشکی شیراز رسما" فعالیتهای خود را از سال ۱۳۸۹ در میمند فارس آغاز نمود. راه اندازی بخش های کنترل شیمیایی و میکروبی عرقیجات، خرید و نصب دستگاه گازکروماتوگراف کوپل شده با دتکتور جرمی GCMS از مهمترین اقدامات مرکز در بدو تاسیس است. این مرکز پس از چاپ مقالات علمی پژوهشی متعدد در سال 1398 موفق به دریافت موافقت قطعی از شورای گسترش مراکز تحقیقاتی وزارت بهداشت گردید.
